INTRODUCTION:
This
software is an in house production of Princess Computers Network, Jeypore. The
software serves as a directory of phone numbers of all the places of the
undivided Koraput district. There are 72 places in all that have been put up in
the software including Jeypore, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, etc.
An effort has been made to include even the remotest of the places where a phone
connection is found. Some places have only 5 or 6 phone connections and they
have been included as well. I have tried my best not to leave any place or
number of the region. Following are some of the features of the software:
·
Number
to name searching - In the traditional form you could only search from name to
number. If you knew the number of the person and want to know in whose name the
phone is registered, you might not be able to it using the traditional way of
searching in the directory. It is possible to do so using this software.
·
Better
matches – There is no need to enter the exact name of the person you are
searching. Suppose you are searching for some Mr. Nanda you just have to type
nanda and it will show you all the nandas in that region.
·
Editing
– Though proper care has been taken to see to it that no mistakes are made
some mistakes might occur because of unavoidable circumstances like transfer of
the person, new numbers being allotted by the exchange, etc. If you come across
any such errors you can correct it yourself from the program itself.
·
Adding
of records – Suppose you feel that any Number has been missed out by us you
can yourself add it very easily. But use the edit and add functions very
cautiously as the changes cant be reverted back and delete function has been
intentionally left out.
·
Your
personal phone book.
·
This
software has been made using the latest programming tools used worldwide and is
a true 32-bit windows program.
·
Registered
users are entitled to receive free updates.
IMPROVEMENTS
FROM THE EARLIER VERSION:
If
you have used the earlier version of the software you probably know that it was
a freeware and was limited to Jeypore only. Based on the feedback received from
various users, this version has been improved a lot.
